Mark Morris can now show off 11 landslide victories after their most recent game on Saturday. They put the hurt on Hockinson with a sharp 80-58 victory. Given Mark Morris' advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 83rd, while Hockinson is ranked 215th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Ridgefield had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Tumwater 59-56. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Mark Morris is on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 16 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season. As for Ridgefield, their win bumped their record up to 15-6.
