On Saturday, Wewoka didn't have too much trouble with Chandler on the road as they won 52-33. Given Wewoka's advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 23rd, while Chandler is ranked 241st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Timber Carter continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 23 points and ten rebounds. Those 23 points set a new season-high mark for her. Awtumn Sipes-Louie was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with five assists and four steals.
Wewoka's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Chandler, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.
Wewoka and Holdenville will face off at 6:00 p.m. on December 12th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Holdenville is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling. As for Chandler, they will head out on the road to face off against Seminole at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Seminole comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
