The Coal Ridge Titans will square off against the Battle Mountain Husky at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Coal Ridge is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.8 runs per game this season.
Coal Ridge is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Aspen just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of the Skiers by a score of 9-7.

John Luke Houston and Julian Perez did some serious damage despite the final result: Houston got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one triple, while Perez went 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Coal Ridge is 3-1 when Houston posts two or more runs, but 3-4 otherwise.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Battle Mountain). They put the hurt on Moffat County with a sharp 24-9 win on Saturday. The Husky haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.
Uriah Morales made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out ten batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Morales was also big at the plate, getting on base in four of his six plate appearances with two runs and two RBI.
In other batting news, Battle Mountain got a massive performance out of Jack Reed, who got on base in five of his six plate appearances with four runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. Those four runs gave Reed a new career-high. Kia Tipton was another key player, getting on base in four of his six plate appearances with five runs, two stolen bases, and one double.
Battle Mountain kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Coal Ridge's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 6-5. As for Battle Mountain, their win bumped their record up to 5-2-1.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Coal Ridge has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.5 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Battle Mountain struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 4.1 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Everything went Coal Ridge's way against Battle Mountain in their previous matchup back in May of 2025, as Coal Ridge made off with an 8-1 victory. Will the Titans repeat their success, or do the Husky have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
