There's no place like home for the Fort Bend Travis Tigers, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road on Saturday. They took down Fort Bend Elkins 47-33 on Tuesday. This was payback for Fort Bend Travis, who suffered a 47-34 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Fort Bend Travis' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jordyn Mays, who scored 17 points. Another player making a difference was Mackenzie Teuton, who scored 9 points along with 6 steals.
Defeat or not, Fort Bend Elkins got some senior leadership from Paris Anderson who scored 15 points and Maddie Rhea who scored 12 points.
Fort Bend Travis' win bumped their record up to 6-10. As for Fort Bend Elkins, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-7.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fort Bend Travis will face off against Fort Bend Clements at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Fort Bend Elkins, they will head out on the road to face off against Fort Bend Bush at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
