South Point got their first taste of in-conference action this week and they started things off strong. They enjoyed a cozy 82-67 win over the Forestview Jaguars on Tuesday. The victory was familiar territory for the Red Raiders who have now won four matches in a row.
Leading South Point to victory were Jaishawn Woods and OB Lowery Jr.. Woods went 12 for 22 on his way to 26 points in addition to six assists and three steals, while Lowery Jr. went 9 of 17 en route to 22 points along with six assists and three steals. Aidan Taylor was another key player, putting up ten points.
They weren't the only one working in the assists department: South Point was working as a unit and finished the game with 20 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in January of 2024.
Forestview's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Alex Helton, who posted 23 points.
