Shadow Ridge is a perfect 10-0 against Liberty since April of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Mustangs will be playing at home against the Patriots at 3:30 p.m. Shadow Ridge is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9 runs per game this season.
Shadow Ridge is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Nevada's top teams: Bishop Gorman, who was ranked 18th at the time (Shadow Ridge was ranked fifth). The Mustangs were the clear victors by a 17-6 margin over the Gaels on Wednesday. The Mustangs haven't had any issues with the Gaels recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Rosely Hensley-Mokiao was a standout: she went a perfect 5-for-5 with seven RBI, three runs, and one double. Those seven RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Devaeh Crawford, who went 2-for-4 with four runs, two stolen bases, and three RBI.
Shadow Ridge was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .476. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bishop Gorman only posted a batting average of .308.
Meanwhile, Liberty came up short against Arbor View on Wednesday, falling 14-3. The Patriots haven't had much luck with the Aggies recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.
Liberty saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Danielle Luvanos, who went 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Shadow Ridge's win bumped their record up to 15-6. As for Liberty, their loss dropped their record down to 7-12.
Shadow Ridge's speedy runners might be the difference in Monday's contest. The Mustangs have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.9 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Liberty, though, as they've been averaging an even more impressive 1.3 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Shadow Ridge continue to outrun the ball?
Shadow Ridge was able to grind out a solid victory over Liberty in their previous meeting back in March, winning 10-7. Do the Mustangs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Patriots turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
