Football Recap: Holy Family Starts Season with Win Against Northridge + How To Watch

Holy Family had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They claimed a resounding 49-6 victory over the Northridge Grizzlies. With the Tigers ahead 35-6 at the half, the match was all but over already.

Holy Family can attribute much of their success to Browen Wills, who rushed for 76 yards and one score on only ten carries.

Holy Family's run defense was locked in: Northridge could only muster 3.2 yards per carry. While three picked up at least six total tackles, Ashton Price stood above the rest. He made six total tackles (3.0 for loss). Holy Family didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged six.

Holy Family didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. Myles White led the group effort, picking up two of those interceptions all by himself. Adam Moore has been hot recently, having also posted six or more total tackles the last three times he's played. He got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Holy Family will face off against Roosevelt at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Northridge, they will challenge Glenwood Springs at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
