DUDLEY, N.C. - the Rams scored 21 points in the first quarter to secure a big 37-0 victory over Southern Wayne (Dudley, N.C.) on Saturday.
Cleveland scored on an
Aaron Farmer touchdown pass to
Corey Brown, a touchdown pass by Farmer to
Greg Tyler and an
Isaac Martin touchdown run in the quarter.
After taking the lead on a touchdown pass by Farmer to Brown in the first quarter, CHS was up 27-0 at the half.
The Clayton school expanded its lead to 34 points entering the fourth quarter. The Rams scored once in the quarter on a touchdown run by
Korey Johnson.
The defeat comes as a step back for Southern Wayne, who notched a 52-33 victory over North Lenoir in its previous outing. The win was a nice bounce back for Cleveland, which lost to Green Hope last week, 49-28.
