AURORA, Colo. - the Eagles scored 24 points in the second quarter to secure a big 44-3 victory over Regis Jesuit (Aurora, Colo.) on Saturday.
Valor Christian scored on a defensive touchdown, a
Christian McCaffrey touchdown run and a
Luke Del Rio touchdown pass to
Alex Ulmer in the quarter.
VC was up 24-3 at the half after taking the lead on a defensive touchdown in the second quarter.
The Highlands Ranch school expanded its lead to 34 points entering the fourth quarter. The Eagles scored two times in the third, including once on a touchdown run by Ulmer.
With the win Valor Christian extended its winning streak to nine games. VC defeated the Lightning 52-6 last week.
Ulmer played well for the Eagles in the victory. The senior wide receiver ran for one touchdown and caught one touchdown. He has now scored six touchdowns on the season.
Valor Christian went into the matchup giving up only 6.2 points per game. The three points that the Raiders ended with were well below their average of 18.6 coming into the game.
VC also won the meeting between the two teams last season, 20-16.
The loss comes after Regis Jesuit defeated Gateway 15-14 last week. The loss snapped Regis Jesuit's 2-game winning streak.
