The Carlisle Indians will head out on the road to face off against the Overton Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. Carlisle will be hoping to continue their four-game streak of scoring more points each contest than the last.
Carlisle pushed their score all the way to 60 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They lost to Mt. Enterprise at home by a decisive 74-60 margin. Despite running the score up even higher than they did two weeks ago (49), Carlisle still had to take the loss.
Carlisle's defeat came about despite a quality game from Fernando Espinoza, who threw for 452 yards and three touchdowns while completing 72.7% of his passes, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Espinoza hasn't dropped below three passing touchdowns for three straight games. Jonathan Lopez was in the mix as well, providing Carlisle with three touchdowns.

We should be in store for an exciting game Friday as the pair have no problem gaining yardage. Carlisle has been on an offensive roll this season, having averaged 363 total yards per game. However, it's not like Overton struggles in that department as they've been even better at 427.9 per game. With a pair of commanding offenses duking it out, the defenses are going to have their work cut out for them.
Everything came up roses for Carlisle against Overton when the teams last played back in October of 2022 as the squad secured a 70-10 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Carlisle since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
