It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Rancho Mirage Rattlers had no problem doing just that on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 84-62 margin over the Condors. Rancho Mirage has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten matches by 22 points or more this season.
California lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Kenny Renfrow, who scored 11 points. Renfrow is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight. Luke Sanchez was another key contributor, scoring four points along with nine assists and six steals.
The win was the fourth in a row for Rancho Mirage, bringing their record for this year to 22-8. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.5 points per game. As for California, their defeat dropped their record down to 20-10.
Rancho Mirage will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Northview at 7:00 p.m. on February 13th. One thing working in Rancho Mirage's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last four games. California does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
