Basketball Recap: Antwan Brown and Odell Brown Secure Win for Fivay

Fivay's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They snuck past the Pasco Pirates with a 77-73 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Falcons also won the last time the pair played back in February.

Fivay was led to victory by Odell Brown and Antwan Brown. Odell dropped a double-double on 15 points and 13 rebounds, while Antwan dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds. That's the most points Odell has posted since back in December of 2023. Another player making a difference was Tyshawn James, who made all 5 shots he took racking up 15 points.

Several Pirates players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Isaac Williams, who went 8 of 14 on his way to 17 points and seven steals. With that strong performance, Williams is now averaging an impressive 2.7 steals per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Jeremiah Miller, who went 7 of 15 on his way to 16 points and three steals.

Fivay's record is now 6-1. As for Pasco, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-2.

Fivay will head out to take on Clearwater Central Catholic at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Fivay is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 71.2 points per game this season. As for Pasco, they and Citrus will face off at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday without much rest having both just played. Pasco is facing Citrus at the right time seeing as Citrus is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
