Auburn is a perfect 3-0 against Benson since April of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Bulldogs will host the Bunnies at 4:30 p.m. Benson took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Auburn, who comes in off a win.
Auburn will roll into the game after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up one run on Tuesday, then bounced right back against Falls City on Thursday. The Bulldogs blew past the Tigers 14-4. The Bulldogs haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

Mason Schultz made a big impact no matter where he played. He pitched five innings while giving up four earned runs off five hits. Schultz was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Those two runs gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Noah Erickson, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Brycen Meyer, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run.
Auburn hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post two or more strikeouts.
Meanwhile, Benson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 34th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 16-0 to Bellevue East.
Benson saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Amrion Pouncil, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base and one double. That double marked the first that Pouncil has hit this season.
Auburn's victory bumped their record up to 9-7. As for Benson, their loss dropped their record down to 0-12.
Everything went Auburn's way against Benson in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as Auburn made off with a 29-0 win. Do the Bulldogs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bunnies turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
