The Taylorsville Warriors will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Murray Spartans at 7:00 p.m.
Taylorsville couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell 59-50 to Park City on Tuesday. Taylorsville has struggled against Park City recently, as their matchup on Tuesday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Taylorsville's loss came about despite a quality game from Kobe Allen, who scored 25 points along with 6 rebounds and 5 steals. Another player making a difference was Bronson Dallimore, who scored 8 points along with 5 rebounds.
Meanwhile, even though Highland scored an imposing 64 points on Tuesday, Murray still came out on top. Murray managed a 70-64 win over Highland. The win made it back-to-back wins for Murray.
Among those leading the charge was Quinton Christman, who scored 26 points along with 5 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Deacon Poole, who scored 7 points.
Taylorsville's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Murray, their win bumped their record up to 2-0.
Taylorsville was dealt a bruising 100-50 loss at the hands of Murray when the teams last played back in December of 2022. Thankfully for Taylorsville, Chudi Anosike (who shot 5-for-9 from beyond the arc and dropped a double-double on 46 points and 15 rebounds) won't be suiting up this time.
