Palmetto got a great performance from Jake Cruz as he struck out seven batters over six innings while giving up four earned (and two unearned) runs off nine hits (and only one walk). Cruz has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't pitched less than five innings in five consecutive pitching appearances.
On the hitting side, Jack Gordon was excellent, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of his six plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Ryan Ortega, who scored two runs while going 2-for-5.
On Monsignor Pace's side, they got a good showing from Aiden Rivero, who pitched four innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits.
