Rolesville hasn't had much luck against Millbrook recently, but that could start to change on Friday. Having struggled with three losses in a row, Rolesville turned things around against Triton back in December of 2024. They came out on top against the Hawks by a score of 75-62.
Rolesville got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Caiden Jenkins out in front who went 8 for 16 on his way to 21 points and eight rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Anthony Roberts, Jr, who went 5 of 7 on his way to 12 points and eight rebounds.
Rolesville smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in seven consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, Millbrook had just enough and edged Heritage out 58-56 on Thursday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Wildcats.
Millbrook had a senior duo take command as Joshua Bowen posted 13 points and five rebounds and Ashton King put up 19 points and three steals. King's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Josh Conti, who went 5 of 8 on his way to 10 points and five boards.
Millbrook's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-9. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.8 points per game. As for Rolesville, their victory bumped their record up to 6-7.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Rolesville has crashing the boards this season, having averaged 31.2 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Millbrook struggles in that department as they've been averaging 29.2 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
