Crismon simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat Bradshaw Mountain 38-7 at home. The victory was some much needed relief for the Rattlers as it spelled an end to their seven-game losing streak dating back to last season.
Crismon's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Sophia Saldivar led the charge by picking up 91 receiving yards and a touchdown. Saldivar was even better on defense, making six total tackles and defending a pass in addition to snagging an interception which she returned one-yard for a touchdown.
Crismon's defense was in the mix too, especially the secondary: they snagged three passes before it was all said and done. The picks came courtesy of Skylar DaCosta and Saldivar.
Meanwhile, Mohave had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Tuba City 8-6.
