Division II-B recap October 8, 2013
West Warwick scored a shocking upset when it eliminated Shea, 28-7. At the time, the Raiders were ranked 12th in the state, while the Wizards were 30th.
The biggest upset of the week belonged to West Warwick, who took down 12th ranked Shea, 28-7.
Leading Division II-B in both passing and receiving yards, Cumberland's Tyler Calabro and Chris Hayes have proven to be a lethal combination. Calabro has thrown for 529 yards this season, while Hayes has 13 catches for 197 yards. Josh Alves from St. Raphael Academy leads the league in rushing with 193 yards.
The most important game in the league this week will be the match up between Central and the Saints. The Knights enters the game ranked 24th in the state, while St. Raphael Academy ranks 13th.
Shane Lagor's team was able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after defeating the Raiders. The Wizards came in at 21 in the state poll after placing at number 30 last week.
