Bensalem is 7-1 against William Tennent since April of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Fighting Owls will welcome the Panthers at 3:45 p.m. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Bensalem sitting on five straight victories and William Tennent on three.
On Thursday, Bensalem was able to grind out a solid win over Harry S. Truman, taking the game 6-1.
Bensalem got a great performance from Hayden Sorrensen as he tossed six innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Sorrensen has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Mikey Kramer, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4. He also hit a triple, marking his first of the season. Peter Pasquarella was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 3-for-4.
Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when William Tennent took on New Hope-Solebury on Thursday. The Panthers walked away with a 4-1 victory over the Lions.
Luke Torok was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while going 1-for-5. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in May of 2024.
William Tennent's win bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Bensalem, their victory bumped their record up to 7-3.
William Tennent's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Bensalem hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .323. It's a different story for William Tennent, though, as they've only averaged .227. Will they be able to contain Bensalem's hitters?
Bensalem came out on top in a nail-biter against William Tennent in their previous matchup back in April of 2021, sneaking past 2-1. Do the Fighting Owls have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Panthers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
