Basketball Recap: Bamberg-Ehrhardt Find Success

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Manning, Bamberg-Ehrhardt was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They escaped with a win against the Ridge Spring-Monetta Trojans by the margin of a single free throw, 36-35. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Red Raiders as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Bamberg-Ehrhardt got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Darius Walker out in front who posted 11 points and three steals. That's the most points Walker has posted since back in January of 2024. Brian Mcmillian was another key player, putting up six points and eight rebounds.

Jaiden Holloway and Briston Matthews certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Holloway had eight points and six steals, while Matthews put up nine points along with six rebounds and three blocks. Holloway is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last ten games he's played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of Malik Fuller, who posted eight points.

Bamberg-Ehrhardt's victory bumped their record up to 2-5. As for Ridge Spring-Monetta, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.

Bamberg-Ehrhardt didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 55-45 win against Allendale-Fairfax on the 27th. As for Ridge Spring-Monetta, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Clear Dot Charter on the 27th.
