The Spoto Spartans lost against the Alonso Ravens back in December of 2021, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Spoto took a 41-31 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Ravens. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Spoto has scored all season.
Despite the loss, Spoto still got an impressive performance from Jose Deleon, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 17 rebounds. Deleon has been hot recently, having posted nine or more rebounds the last five times he's played. Johnaven Reed was another key contributor, scoring five points.
Spoto's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 8-12. As for Alonso, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-11.
Spoto won't have much time to rest: their next match is against the Terriers at 8:00 p.m. on January 30th. Hillsborough is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak. As for Alonso, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against the Stingrays at 6:30 p.m. on January 30th. Hopefully Sumner focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 last Friday.
