That result was just more of the same for these two, as New Life Christian also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2020.
When it comes to explaining why Mountain View Christian Academy lost on Friday, one person who can't be blamed is Brady Beavers. Despite the final result, he scored 10 points along with 9 rebounds and 3 blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Josiah Walker, who scored 10 points.
New Life Christian's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Mountain View Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
New Life Christian will square off against Mount Airy Christian Academy at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Mount Airy Christian Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up nine on Friday. As for Mountain View Christian Academy, they will face off against Covenant Life at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. Covenant Life presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Mountain View Christian Academy in their respective states (Covenant Life is ranked 32nd in Maryland, while Mountain View Christian Academy is ranked 228th in Virginia).
