Muchin College Prep has been on the road for ten straight, but on Wednesday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Golder Panthers at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Muchin College Prep will be strutting in after a win while Golder will be coming in after a loss.
Last Monday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Muchin College Prep beat Noble Street College Prep 40-35.
Muchin College Prep had a senior duo take command as Tristen Batts scored 12 points along with three steals and two blocks and Jalen McIntyre dropped a double-double on 11 points and 12 rebounds. That's the first time this season that Batts posted two or more blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Deshawn Gipson, who scored no points along with seven assists.
Meanwhile, Golder pushed their score all the way to 55 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 67-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of Woodlawn.
Muchin College Prep's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-11. As for Golder, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-9.
Muchin College Prep came up short against Golder when the teams last played back in January of 2023, falling 64-55. Can Muchin College Prep avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
