The Linden-McKinley Panthers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They blew past Whetstone 50-29. That 50-29 margin sets a new team best for Linden-McKinley this season.
It was another big night for Christiana Towns, who dropped a triple-double on 24 points, 17 rebounds, and ten steals. The match was Towns' fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ty'janae Mccarrel, who scored two points along with 11 steals.
The win makes it two in a row for Linden-McKinley and bumps their season record up to 3-1. As for Whetstone, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-4.
Linden-McKinley will head out on the road to face off against Marion-Franklin at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Marion-Franklin will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 716th, while Linden-McKinley is ranked 344th). As for Whetstone, they will be playing at home against East at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
