Softball Recap: Tussey Mountain Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Tussey Mountain, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 17-7 margin over the Moshannon Valley Black Knights/Damsels on Thursday. The Titans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matches by seven runs or more this season.

Adyson Weyandt and Olivia Mills did most of the damage at the plate: Weyandt went 4-for-5 with three stolen bases, four runs, and four RBI, while Mills went 3-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and one triple. Mills also put up a double, which was her first of the season. Allison Angelo was another key player, going 1-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base.

Tussey Mountain's win bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Moshannon Valley, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season.

Tussey Mountain will take on Forbes Road at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Moshannon Valley, they will square off against Bucktail at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
