After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Atlanta, the Pewitt Brahmas were happy to have found some success on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 53-38 win over Queen City. For Pewitt, this counts as revenge for the 49-46 defeat Queen City walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2023.
Pewitt found their leader in underclassman Wesley Smith, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 12 rebounds. Keidrick Hawkins was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with ten rebounds and two blocks.
Pewitt's victory bumped their record up to 9-14. As for Queen City, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-11.
Pewitt will be playing in front of their home fans against Hooks at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hooks has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 587 points over their last eight matches. As for Queen City, they will head out on the road to challenge Atlanta at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Atlanta is coming into the match hot, having won their last four games.
