Southwest/Hale/Tina-Avalon will be defending their home turf for the first time on Friday when they go up against South Holt/Nodaway-Holt at 7:00 PM. It might come down to the wire as the game is expected to be close.
Southwest/Hale/Tina-Avalon had to travel to play their first game of the season, and the final result was worth the trip. They took their contest against East Atchison last Friday 52-42.
Meanwhile, South Holt/Nodaway-Holt had to kick off their season with an away game, and unfortunately wound up with a long bus ride home. They were completely outmatched, falling 28-74 to Worth County/Northeast Nodaway. South Holt/Nodaway-Holt were in a tough position by the half, with the score sitting at 28-68.
Southwest/Hale/Tina-Avalon's win lifted them to 1-0 while South Holt/Nodaway-Holt's loss dropped them down to 0-1. South Holt/Nodaway-Holt's offensive line will need to gear up for a tough test against a Southwest/Hale/Tina-Avalon defensive front that amassed 4.0 sacks against East Atchison, so we'll see if they are up to the task.
