 Last Tuesday,  everything went Silex's way against Van-Far as Silex made off with  a  12-6 win.
  Kherington Morris was a standout: she went 3-for-5 with five  RBI, three  runs,  and a  triple. The dominant performance also gave  her a new career-high in  hits.  Austyn Van Horn was another key player,  going 2-for-4 with a  home run, two  stolen bases,  and three  RBI.
 Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Silex  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 16  hits. That's the most  hits they've managed all season.
 Meanwhile, North Callaway came up short against Louisiana on Tuesday and fell  6-2. The Thunderbirds have now  taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
  Megan Schmidt spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned  (and five unearned) runs on six hits and racked up 11 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  tossed less than five  strikeouts in six consecutive appearances.
 On the hitting side, North Callaway saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Abigail Schmidt, who  went 2-for-4 with a  double and  an  RBI.
 Silex's victory bumped their record up to 8-13. As for North Callaway, their loss dropped their record down to 16-8.
 Silex skirted past North Callaway  6-4 in their previous meeting  back in September of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for Silex since the  squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
