After having lost a blowout in their game three weeks ago against Snohomish, Shorewood were happy to find some success on Friday. Shorewood were the clear victor by a 42-21 margin over Lynnwood. The margin was wide but not a surprise since Shorewood are ranked far ahead of Lynnwood in the MaxPreps state rankings.
Lynnwood found Lynnwood's leader in an underclassman sophomore Christian Kirkman, which was enough to make him one of the team's best players.
The win bumped Shorewood's record up to 6-1. Lynnwood are still searching for that first win as they fell to 0-6.
Next week Shorewood take on Edmonds-Woodway at 7:00 PM. Edmonds-Woodway also lit up the scoreboard in their last contest, so this could be a high-scoring contest. As for Lynnwood, they will face off against Snohomish.
