The Hunter Wolverines scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They really took it to Granger for the full four quarters, racking up a 73-21 win on the road. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Hunter has managed all season.
Hunter was led to victory by Grace Gallagher and Kalysa Ng. Gallagher dropped a double-double on 18 points and 13 rebounds, while Ng scored 21 points along with five assists and five steals. Gallagher is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last eight games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Naia Makakona, who scored nine points along with five steals.
Hunter's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-9. As for Granger, they are on a 12-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-12.
Hunter will head out on the road to challenge West Jordan at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. West Jordan has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 289 points over their last four matchups. As for Granger, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Taylorsville at 7:00 p.m. Hopefully Taylorsville focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 22 on Friday.
