The Bella Vista Broncos will be playing at home against the Woodcreek Timberwolves at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Friday, Bella Vista got themselves on the board against Yuba City, but Yuba City never followed suit. They strolled past the Honkers with points to spare, taking the game 14-0.
Meanwhile, Woodcreek had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 46.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Antelope 41-0 on the road. Woodcreek's offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.
Woodcreek's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Keegan Nitterhouse, who rushed for 79 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries. The team also got some help courtesy of Trace Murchinson, who threw for eight yards and a touchdown.
The win got Bella Vista back to even at 4-4. As for Woodcreek, their victory on Friday bumped their record up to 5-3.
