Mount Pleasant is 0-10 against West Stanly since May of 2018 but things could change on Friday. The Tigers will challenge the Colts at 6:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
It was a proper cat-fight when Mount Pleasant duked it out with Central Academy of Technology & Arts on Wednesday. The Tigers put the hurt on the Cougars with a sharp 14-4 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Tigers.

Kallie Foil was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off five hits. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in March. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBI.
In other batting news, Savannah Coln was incredible, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Another player making a difference was Taylor Seagraves, who went 2-for-4 with one triple and two RBI.
Mount Pleasant was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .455. They are a perfect 12-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, West Stanly got themselves on the board against Parkwood on Wednesday, but Parkwood never followed suit. They were the clear victors by a 15-0 margin over the Wolf Pack.
The team relied heavily on Abby Hartsell, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and three runs. That home run was her first of the season. Kennedy Austin was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI.
Mount Pleasant's record now sits at 16-6. As for West Stanly, their record is now 21-4.
Friday's matchup might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Mount Pleasant has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .497. However, it's not like West Stanly struggles in that department as they've averaged .508. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Mount Pleasant might still be hurting after the 10-2 loss they got from West Stanly in their previous matchup on Friday. Can the Tigers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
