4A Cowapa recap Oct. 30, 2012
Scappoose extended the longest winning streak in 4A Cowapa this week by beating Astoria, 57-6. The victory was the eighth in a row for the Indians.
Scappoose took down the Fishermen 57-6 last week, the largest margin of any game. Taylor Loss threw for 108 yards and four touchdowns and ran for 11 yards in the win.
Kyle Kramer was the best wideout in the league this week as Sean Mcnabb's team beat Astoria. Kramer racked up two receptions for 76 yards. Justice Oman helped Scappoose's passing attack out by catching four balls for 50 yards.
Graysen Partain provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Banks topped Tillamook. He completed six passes for 156 yards and one touchdown and also ran for 125 yards. Partain's favorite target this week was Joey Bonin, who caught three passes for 70 yards.
Scappoose's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Indians feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Loss has thrown for 2211 yards and 34 touchdowns this season, while Paul Revis has 76 catches for 1396 yards. Carson Davison leads the league in rushing with 931 yards.
The Indians' Davison needs only 69 yards against Jewell next week to surpass 1,000 rushing yards for the season.
The Braves made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 6,511 from 6,959. The improvement was the result of 55-24 victory over the Cheesemakers last week.
