The Elite Prep Academy Eagles on the road again on Wednesday and play against the Crooms Academy Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on January 24th. Hopefully Elite Prep Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 25 on Thursday.
Elite Prep Academy suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Thursday. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 60-35 walloping at the hands of Circle Christian. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Elite Prep Academy has scored all season.
Despite the defeat, Elite Prep Academy got a solid performance out of Jahmani Salomon, who scored 14 points along with eight rebounds and four blocks. Salomon has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last four times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Deontae Givens-West, who scored six points along with six rebounds and five assists.
Meanwhile, Crooms Academy earned a 64-53 victory over Orlando Science on Monday.
Elite Prep Academy has been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-4 record this season. As for Crooms Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 7-8.
Elite Prep Academy came up short against Crooms Academy when the teams last played back in December of 2022, falling 44-38. Can Elite Prep Academy avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
