After flying high against North Putnam  on Thursday, Edgewood came back down to earth. The Mustangs took  a  2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Jasper Wildcats on Saturday. The Mustangs' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.
 The match finished with set scores of 25-16,  25-13.
 Olivia Edgeman paced Edgewood's offense, picking up five kills. Edgeman got some help from  Jenna Abram and her ten assists. Edgeman was also solid from the service line:  she led the team with two aces.
 Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Jasper to victory, but perhaps none more so than   Caroline Schipp, who  had six  digs and five  aces. That's the most  aces  Schipp has posted since back in October of 2024. Another player making a difference was  Nora Breitwieser, who  had ten  digs and two  assists.
Edgewood's loss dropped their record down to 16-12. As for Jasper, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won ten of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-8 record  this season.
 Edgewood wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next  contest,  a  2-0  defeat against Bloomington North on the 11th. As for Jasper, they have also already played their next match,  a  2-0  loss against Silver Creek on the 11th.
