Landon Davis turned in yet another pitching appearance with fewer than two walks surrendered on Monday. He struck out six batters over two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). West Jessamine is 2-1 when Davis allows one or fewer earned runs, but 2-10-1 otherwise.

Davis' strong effort led West Jessamine over Burgin and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The Colts are a perfect 10-0 against the Bulldogs going back to April of 2021, a lead they'll look to extend.
