Hightstown is 0-3 against Shore Regional since January of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. The Hightstown Rams will be staying on the road to face off against the Shore Regional Blue Devils at 2:00 p.m. on December 30th.
Last Saturday, Hightstown was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 42-37 to Cinnaminson. The loss was Hightstown's first of the season.
Meanwhile, Shore Regional had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 28 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They walked away with a 53-46 win over Freehold Boro.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Shore Regional to victory, but perhaps none more so than Reese Fiore, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 13 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Ava Coyle, who scored 16 points along with three steals.
Hightstown's loss dropped their record down to 3-1. As for Shore Regional, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
Hightstown came up short against Shore Regional in their previous meeting back in December of 2022, falling 57-47. Can Hightstown avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
