Softball Recap: Tuesday's Win Is Blacksher's Sixth in Last Seven Outings

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Blacksher walked away with it. They blew past the Long Rebels 14-4 on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won 18 matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Averie Hall was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with four RBI, one run, and one double. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Alexis Menjivar was another key player, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with three RBI and two runs.

Blacksher is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 26-15 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.4 runs over those games. As for Long, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 39-14.

Blacksher wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 13-3 win against Ariton on the 6th. As for Long, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 17-0 victory against Washington County on the 6th.
