Basketball Recap: Southampton Beats Surry County for Their Fourth Straight Victory

Southampton had won three straight games and Tyrell Beverly did his part to make it four on Friday. The Southampton Indians took their contest with ease, bagging a 62-31 victory over the Surry County Cougars thanks in part to Beverly, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 11 boards. His evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

Southampton's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-0. As for Surry County, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Southampton wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, an 80-55 victory against Ridgecroft on the 16th. As for Surry County, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Middlesex at 7:00 p.m. on December 26th.
