Northside is 6-1 against Jones since May of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Mustangs will look to defend their home field against the Eagles at 4:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Monday just wasn't the day for Northside's offense. They lost 7-0 to Payton College Prep on Monday. The Mustangs' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Northside saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jilliyn Yung, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Meanwhile, Jones suffered their biggest defeat since May 18, 2024 on Monday. They came up short against DePaul College Prep, falling 16-6. The loss continues a trend for the Eagles in their meetings with the Rams: they've now lost three in a row.

Jones got a big performance out of Julissa Galvez, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Delaney Treccia was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

Northside's defeat dropped their record down to 4-14. As for Jones, their loss dropped their record down to 16-3.

Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Tuesday. Northside hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.6 home runs per game. However, it's not like Jones struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 0.8 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.

Everything went Northside's way against Jones in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as Northside made off with an 11-0 win. Do the Mustangs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
