Basketball Recap: Mackay Extends Home Winning Streak to Seven

Mackay extended their home winning streak to seven games thanks to a huge performance from Kaizer Summers. Everything went the Mackay Miners' way against the American Heritage Patriots on Tuesday as the Mackay Miners made off with a 46-25 victory thanks in part to Summers, who went 8 for 16 en route to 22 points in addition to seven boards and three steals. That makes it ten consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Mackay's points.

Another player making a difference was Cooper Holt, who posted eight points and 11 rebounds. He has been hot recently, having posted 11 or more boards the last four times he's played.

Mackay is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.3 points per game. As for American Heritage, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-13.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games.
