Dalton Walker Turns in Season-Best Effort
On Friday, Elkhart got the W thanks in part to Dalton Walker playing the best football he has all season. Walker rushed for 218 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 9.1 yards per carry, and also caught a touchdown, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 69 yards.
Buffalo had to have seen this coming; the last time they saw Walker it was a similar story. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Walker saw the Bison), he rushed for 80 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries, and also picked up 65 receiving yards.

Trystyn Tidrow Delivers Best Performance of Season
On Friday, Elkhart got the W thanks in part to Trystyn Tidrow playing the best football he has all season. Tidrow threw for 294 yards and six touchdowns while completing 76.5% of his passes, and also rushed for 47 yards. The effort marked the most rushing yards he has had since back in August of 2023. He didn't just play on offense: he also made eight total tackles and defended a pass.
This season, Tidrow has thrown 12 touchdowns while averaging 174.3 passing yards per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he was only averaging 0.43 rushing yards per game. This year he is averaging 21 rushing yards.

Bryce Wallum's Big Game Leads Troup over Winona
Bryce Wallum was instrumental in extending Troup's winning streak to five on Friday. Winona had no answer to Wallum as he rushed for 109 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 carries, and also threw for 107 yards and two touchdowns while completing 85.7% of his passes.
Troup pushed their record up to 5-2 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Wallum and Troup will be playing in front of their home fans against New Diana on Friday.

New Diana Wins Sixth-Straight Thanks to Davyon Mapps
New Diana picked up their sixth consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Davyon Mapps. Mapps did his part (and then some), rushing for 145 yards and two touchdowns on only nine carries for the 'W'. His rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his fifth straight game with at least 112 rushing yards.
This year, Mapps has run in 10 touchdowns while averaging 127.5 rushing yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he was only averaging 79.17 rushing yards per game.

Big Game from Wells As Troup Won 50-6
Brett Wells was instrumental in extending Troup's winning streak to five on Friday. Wells was dynamite, rushing for 100 yards and a touchdown.
Winona's probably not too fond of Wells given he always seems to get the better of them. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Wells saw the Wildcats), he rushed for 110 yards and a touchdown on only 12 carries.
