The Dedham Marauders are taking a road trip to take on the Medfield Warriors at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Medfield took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Dedham, who comes in off a win.
Dedham took a loss when they played away from home on Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Wednesday. Everything went their way against Millis as they made off with a 10-2 victory. The high-scoring effort was just what the Marauders needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.
Julia Walsh made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over 6.2 innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Liana Florio was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three stolen bases, three runs, and two doubles. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Joslyn Roberts, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.
Dedham was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .379. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Millis only posted a batting average of .115.
Meanwhile, Medfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 17-0 to North Attleborough.
Dedham is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 3-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Medfield, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-5.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Monday as neither team is afraid to steal. Dedham has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.8 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Medfield struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3.3 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Dedham came up short against Medfield in their previous meeting back in May of 2025, falling 9-4. Can the Marauders avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
