The Cristo Rey Trailblazers's road trip will continue as they head out to face Tenor at 6:30 p.m. on February 8th. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Tuesday, Cristo Rey strolled past University Lake/Trinity Academy with points to spare, taking the game 54-39.
Meanwhile, Tenor scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They breezed by Varsity Opponent on the road to the tune of 89-50. Tenor has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 25 points or more this season.
Quintyn Robinson and Kyrell Davis were among the main playmakers for Tenor as the former scored 34 points along with six steals and five rebounds and the latter dropped a double-double on 22 points and 16 rebounds. Robinson is crushing the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Shane Emanuel, who scored 13 points along with six steals.
Cristo Rey's record now sits at 2-10. As for Tenor, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-6.
Cristo Rey came up short against Tenor in their previous matchup back in January, falling 68-64. Can Cristo Rey avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
