Carver A&T has enjoyed the comforts of home their last four games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will face off against the Chesapeake Bay Hawks at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Maryland (Carver A&T is ranked 146th, while the Bay Hawks are ranked 155th).
In what's become a running theme this season, Carver A&T gave their fans yet another huge victory on Monday. They blew past Owings Mills 51-23 at home.
Carver A&T relied on the efforts of Elisah Guity, who scored 14 points, and Jada McAliley, who scored 17 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points McAliley has scored all season.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 70-41, which was the final score in Chesapeake's tilt against the Lions on Monday. Chesapeake has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Carver A&T now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Chesapeake, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season.
Everything went Carver A&T's way against the Bay Hawks when the teams last played back in December of 2022 as the Wildcats made off with a 45-21 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Carver A&T since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
