Union is 7-0 against Fortune Academy since February of 2020, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Union Rockets will head out on the road to face off against Fortune Academy at 6:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.
Last Saturday, Union suffered a rough 65-42 loss at the hands of MTI School of Knowledge. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Union in their matchups with MTI School of Knowledge: they've now lost five in a row.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Lamar Schwartz, who scored 12 points along with 9 rebounds and 6 steals. Schwartz is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Dawson Ogden, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 16 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Fortune Academy took a serious blow against GEO Next Generation on Thursday, falling 61-17. Fortune Academy has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Their wins bumped Union to 1-2 and MTI School of Knowledge to 2-2.
Everything came up roses for Union against Fortune Academy in their previous matchup on Tuesday as the team secured a 75-24 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Union since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
