Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lake Howell). Everything went their way against the University Cougars on Wednesday as the Lake Howell Silverhawks made off with a 10-0 win. The Silverhawks haven't had any issues with the Cougars recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.
Larson Danek looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Furthermore, he didn't allow a single walk, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in April of 2024.
On the hitting side, Joseph Lehnen and Isaiah Walkin did most of the damage at the plate: Lehnen scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances, while Walkin scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Those three runs gave Lehnen a new career-high. Tyler Pittington also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
Lake Howell always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .588. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Lake Howell's record is now 8-6. As for University, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-8.

After both having extra time off, University and Colonial will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field one another at 6:00 p.m. on March 25th.
