The Kingston Cougars will be staying on the road on Wednesday to face off against the Potosi Trojans on February 7th. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.
Last Monday, Kingston was beaten by the Vikings 48-20.
Meanwhile, Potosi's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their sixth straight loss. They fell 60-50 to Bismarck. While losing is never fun, Potosi can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 419th, while the Indians are ranked 181st).
Kingston has not been sharp recently as the team's lost 13 of their last 14 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-18 record this season. As for Potosi, their defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-16.
Kingston was dealt a bruising 77-34 defeat at the hands of the Trojans when the teams last played back in February of 2016. The matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point Kingston was down 47-14.
