The Dwight Morrow Maroon Raiders will be playing at home against the Dover Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Friday, Dwight Morrow got themselves on the board against Kearny, but Kearny never followed suit. They breezed by the Kardinals on the road to the tune of 56-0. The result was nothing new for Dwight Morrow, who have now won five games by 23 points or more so far this season.
Meanwhile, Dover sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 24-21 victory over Fair Lawn on Friday. The win made it back-to-back wins for Dover.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Dover to victory, but perhaps none more so than Anthony Trongone, who threw for 168 yards and two touchdowns. Brandon Flynn was another key contributor, gaining 88 total yards and two touchdowns.
Dwight Morrow's win was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 6-1. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 0-7 Ferris and 1-5 Kearny (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 18.5% over those games). As for Dover, their win on Friday bumped their record up to 4-2.
Dwight Morrow came up short against Dover when the teams last played back in October of 2022, falling 20-14. Will Dwight Morrow have more luck at home instead of on the road?
