After a dominant win in their matchup five weeks ago, Lamar were humbled two weeks ago. They found themselves the reluctant recipients of an unpleasant 12-38 punch to the gut against Gray Collegiate Academy. The defeat was a vexing one since Lamar were expected to win based on their state ranking.
Meanwhile, Timmonsville were within striking distance but couldn't close the gap last Saturday, as they fell 13-19 to Green Sea Floyds. This makes it the second loss in a row for Timmonsville.
